Children and Young People Strategies

The Children's Trust Communications Strategy, approved by the Children's Trust Board in November 2009

This strategy has been created for all professionals working within Thurrock's Children's Trust, the community and service users. It has been developed to ensure that the Children's Trust is equipped to promote and listen to messages effectively (including those made in consultation as set out in the Children's Trust's Participation and Engagement Strategy)

The Participation and Engagement Strategy, approved in 2007

The UN Convention of Rights of the Child places duties and responsibilities on local government to promote and safeguard the right of children and young people to express their views on all matters that affect their lives.

This strategy sets out how the Council and its partner agencies will meet their commitment to engaging with children, young people and their families and to ensuring that their views and contributions lie at the heart of our decision making.

Thurrock's Children and Young People's Plan 2009/2010

This plan sets out the ambitions which Thurrock Council and the Thurrock Children's Trust have for the children, young people and families in our borough.
